In Block 1 & 2, students will explore the fundamentals of Swift, the programming language used to create apps for Apple products. By solving puzzles in a dynamic 3D puzzle world, students will develop a set of coding skills to build up their basic programming vocabulary. Their coding journey begins with sequencing, simple commands and Debugging. They will be able to understand and describe what commands, sequence and debugging are and demonstrate the use of them in an everyday situation.

Paint and shapes with the Sphero Robot: 02 October

Intermediate

ROBOTS, PAINT AND MATHS

During this holiday camp, students will be introduced to the Draw Canvas. They will draw shapes, letters and words that represent code and then execute that code using the ROBOT Sphero. Students are challenged to design a robot made of shapes and program Sphero to draw their robot using the Draw canvas. Students will also be introduced to the sensor data in the Draw Canvas and will learn how to use this data to calculate the perimeter of a square, rectangle, triangle, and rectangle with unknown side length.

ROBOTICS AND ART COME TOGETHER

#GirlCodeFridays are for girl coders only. We aim to expose, teach and encourage girls to learn the basics of computer programming and to consider coding as a future career by engaging them through fun, educational activities. During this holiday camp, girl coders will use the Sphero Robot and paint to create their own works of art all while learning block-based code.
